About

I’m a Java developer working for a telecommunications company. I write code to provide reliable SIP trunking, number porting, provisioning, etc. In my previous role, I worked in targeted advertising for satellite DVB and OTT TV content.

I have a PhD from the University of Auckland. My doctoral research was in path planning, artificial intelligence and robotics. My thesis title was qualitative topological coverage of unknown environments by mobile robots. You can read my doctoral thesis online.

I did a postdoc in University of Southampton. My research area was the application of Semantic Web technologies for linked data and knowledge discovery. A highlight of my time at the University of Southampton was meeting Sir Tim Bernes-Lee! He was a professor in the department at the time.
